Making Your Guest Bedroom as Welcoming as Possible

Jul 16, 2019

It’s summer, which probably means you are going to have guests in your home, whether that be family or out-of-town friends. It’s only natural to want your guests to have the best stay and to feel as comfortable as they can. You may have already planned meals or places to visit, but have you thought about the room they will be staying in? Here is a list to help create a welcoming space for your guests.

Declutter

Get rid of any excess personal items that may have ended up on the nightstand or dresser. Also, if you have any clothes in the closet, remove those as well to make room for your guest’s clothing.

When in doubt, use white!
White linens are used widely in hotel rooms for a reason. Not only are they bright and welcoming, but with a splash of bleach, they’re also easy to clean. The same goes for your guest bedroom; if there are any stains on the linen or their towels, having them be white will take the stress off of you when it’s time to clean. Plus, the look of white, crisp sheets is extremely pleasing.

Bring in the nature

Adding a touch of greenery and natural decor will promote relaxation from your guests. You can add a vase with a floral bouquet for that touch beauty. Hardwood floors in the room will also add elegance into the room, with a touch of nature as well.

Add a mirror to expand the space

A mirror can be a great piece of wall decor, and if you are dealing with a small guest room, adding a mirror to the wall will visually enlarge the room.
