Fall Color Trends For Your Home
Oct 09, 2023
The weather outside is cooler, but the inside of your home doesn’t have to be! The latest fall design and color trends are all about earthy tones and bright colors – similar to that of the 80’s or 90’s. These colors can be fun to play around with and will look great in any home!
Blush and Camel
Nude tones like camel give off a luxurious feel wherever it is put. Blush tones also have a luxurious look, but can soften a space as well. These two colors can be used as accent colors in a room, and goes well with earthy tones like green or grey.
Woods
While wood is not a color, it still brings in natural tones to a home, and there are many stain colors to choose from. The rustic look of wood also creates a feeling of relaxation. An easy way to incorporate this into your home is with your flooring. Hardwood floors instantly add character and warmth to any room, and go with any color.
Red and Yellows
Bright reds bring in the feeling of power and confidence to a space, while yellow brings energy and joy. Since these colors are so intense, it is best to limit them to about 10% of your home’s palette. This can be through simple items such as artwork, fruits in a bowl, statement pillows, etc.
Plum and Navy
These bold colors can be the perfect pop of color for your home. These dark hues can work well contrasting nudes, blushes, or wood floors. If you’re really interested in incorporating these colors in your home, you can always paint your door or moldings to match.
How to Bring Autumn Colors into Your Home

As the seasons change and vibrant autumn colors start to appear outside, you may want to bring some of those colors inside as well. Luckily, there are a lot of easy ways to bring fall indoors! Here are some of our favorite ways to do so.
Floral Arrangements
Flowers are one of the easiest ways to bring splashes of color to your indoor life – it doesn’t take a lot of effort to install or set up, and it can be changed easily as time goes on. When looking for a good fall floral arrangement, opt for more subdued colors over brighter ones. Bright colors may not match well with the palette of the rest of your room or may look out of season.
Fabrics
Fabrics such as throw pillows, blankets, and curtains can really transform the look of your space. Look for warm tones that mimic the colors of the changing leaves outside. As mentioned above, plum and navy tones also work well here as a way to add some pop to the space and contrast with warmer oranges, tans, and reds.
Room Décor
Your choice in other room décor can also play a big role in dressing up your home for the autumn season. Many enjoy displaying older, worn books as a callback to fall days spent in the stacks at high school or university. If you enjoy an adult beverage every so often, consider a crystal decanter filled with amber-tinted spirits such as whiskey or scotch – or a bottle of wine prominently placed to evoke the harvest season.
